    Any recommendations for portable Headphone

I'm currently using ATH-ES7 with my sony X1050 for listening to music on the move. Anyone has any recommendations for any portable Headphone ? My dad has been eyeing my headphone for sometime so I'm consider giving him mine or getting him something else.

Ah.. I totally forgot about it. I'm new to headphone scene having started with Audio Technica SQ5. The genre of music I usually listen to is usually J-pop and Jazz with alittle of rock and electronic music added.

I think the Shure SRH 440 would suit you fine.
If you're a bass head then the ATH M50.

ok I'll try to get hold of those and test them out. By the way I happen to find a weird so called earspeaker SR-303. How do you actually use them ?

    stax?

Supposedly the one of the better planar earphone but I don't have the budget to play around with them.

I can only play around with common man's gear haha, too high end for me already.

Oh yeah. Is it also recommended to try out the ATH-ES10 ? I've read some review about it and it seems quite good. Last but not least was it a right choice to choose ES7 over ESW10 JPN ?

Its free to try, no need to recommend.
Best is try everything before make decision.

i saw uncle walking around with HD600 at bus interchange before...

anyway esw9 more than enough.. i using one... heavenly... just that noise isolation not so good... not for noisy commutes...

if you need it for noisy commutes i suggest noise cancelling headphones... Bose QC15.. but if budget less.. audio technica ANC 7

The Stax earspeakers come with a 5-pins or 6-pins connector (your SR-303 should have 5 pins) and due to being a different design than regular headphones (dynamic), these electrostatic cans require a dedicated amplifier for them.

Stax distributor in Singapore is Kingsley in Adelphi top floor. You can ask them for more info. Here is an article on the SR-202: Stax SR-202.

For Jpop, Rock, and Electronic, you can try the HD25-1. It has the proper energy, attack, and bass punch for those genres. Very portable and easy to drive too.
