Maybe u can set a thread abt what u can shoot at night...

I'd say... Whoever tell me can shoot 1/8000 either have a hell lot of strobes or just trying to shoot blanks. Other than that, night time must surely use tripod, trigger and/or strobes.

Hmm, there probably is a reflector somewhere and some tweaking... legs very smooth... or pic too small to see how high the iso went.

anyway... this imho, is still part of portrait, and not part of night photography... night photography in this aspect is only a very very small part of what constitute to this pic... can just be labelled... this picture is taken at night...

if we talk about this, maybe i can share a picture i took years back...

iirc check the exif, its pretty intact. and you can see how long this pic have been exposed. Its taken in a darkroom. so can this be called night photography as well? This is not a photoshopped image. As usual, copyright of pic belong to me, copyright of that artwork belongs to my mom.

    Correct?
actually i think there is a strobe. cos the shadow shows 1 more faint 1. means there is more than 1 light source.

That is a sample pic of canon 1D-x... Whether how it is perceived to be shot (strobe, reflector) is down to one's interpretation. I only know it wasnot shot with flash.

To interpret, night photography is more than taking photo at night... Taking stuff in a dark room obviously doesn't consider as one. If your intrpretation of night means dark, then i'll rest my case bah. I'm here to talk art, not technical terms...

a pic is a pic, nice or not its up to individual. a pic is still a pic.

if just the street lights without using anything else (strobe, reflector) can achieve this, i shall stop taking photos.

Because, light obviously obeys the photographer more than me.
