how come 7900GS score so low ? my 7900GS scores higher than even overclocked X1950pros lor....

..why did they use that kind of low resolution? It would be more intresting how 8800 GT fares in higher resolutions (Perhaps AA turned on for one test)

This test doesn't tell us much.

I truly hope that the GT doesn't score that much once AA and other graphics features are turned up. Else I kill myself for getting the GTX so soon...

    Yeah..They should have:
    1. Used higher resolution
    2. Enable AA/AF for that tes

    Don't worry..these scores are bogus since 8800 GT has only 16 TMU and 16 ROP units (compare to GTS's 24 TMU 20 ROP units..and GTX's 32xTMU 24 ROP)

I don't understand it Nvidia is replacing 8800 GTS 320MB with 8800 GT 512MB..slower card!

Might as well ask why 8600GT score so high?

Might be something to do with the next-gen engine on previous-gen cards.

Even without higher-res and AA/AF (and since when is 1280x1024 considered "low"?), few cards are breaking past the 60fps range, but those that do are getting high scores.

And the end product is usually more optimized than an unfinished one, but in Unreal-style release fashion the finished product will have even higher quality settings than the demo. Lets just wait and see.

Imagine: 2x 8800GT's for less than 1 8800GTX and almost 50% more performance, WOOT!!!

    It seems weird that 8800 GT with 112SP + 16TMU and 16ROP (with clocks 600/1800) could beat 8800 GTS (96SP + 24TMU and 20 ROP) Doesn't make any sense
