Hot and noisy! But nice numbers

its hot because it has a crappiest cooler ever, otherwise the card should run extremely cool with 65nm process. I am waiting for the rv670, see if ati made any AA improvements and some other echancements to the r600 core.

what the power consumption has increased do you think that nvidia has lied and said its 65nm while its really somthing like 80nm or 90nm i found this link that says the g92 die is hugh for 65nm

    http://resources.vr-zone.net/yantron.../coresize2.jpg
these two dies look almost the same size i mean who would know we would buy the chips and be non the wiser
    CPU: 3700+ @2.9GHZ
    MOBO: LANPARTY UT RDX200 CF-DR
RAM: PC-4000 Gold GX XTC 2GB

"The top of the card has the NVIDIA GeForce logo along with the PureVideo HD logo. Across the top we can also see a sticker that shows us that this particular model is overclocked."

"The standard clocks come in at 600MHz on the GPU and 1800MHz DDR on the GDDR3. MSI have decided to mix it up a bit; the core gets a 10% increase to 660MHz while the memory gets bumped to 1900MHz DDR. "

    Seems like its factory OC-ed..

    still way too hot.

what happened to the era of the GF3 GTS? its a mainstream part that whoops the competition at a reasonal price and wattage.

im not buying a new PSU just to feed a power hungry and expensive card.

lowest power consumption yet hottest gpu. maybe the fault lie on the default cooler
