    Bad Technical Support

    Called Convergent Tech Support a moment ago. The technical guy Instead of listerning to my questions, asked me to write down my issues with product, attached receipt and email to Convergent and he hung up on me without me finishing the tele-conversation. Convergent number cannot be reached thereafter.
    What the hack service from Convergent.

    Apologize on the bad experience you encountered and upon our internal investigations, sadly it's all due to the faulty phone line our company faced during the time of your call.
    In fact it's the whole building having bad faulty phone line which we managed to get it up couple of hours later.

    Firstly, we take any displeasure or negative feedback very seriously regardless of who is in the right or wrong.

    Excuses are a dime a dozen. At least show some form of customer recovery like Amazon.

    I do expect a response within the same day itself, not an immediate one though. Not after 48 hours later.

    Dont give another lame excuse as "We do not check the forum all the time." If so whats the point of you existing the VR Zone?

    Recent load of tech support because of our presence on various networks: VR, HWZ, FB, G+, have made it impossible for us to respond on every network.

    Thanks for the response Michael.
    As a consumer, I am not concern nor interested in the number of networks you are in. Ultamately a customer wants is quick response.
    Reverse the shoes around. If you are now a customer and I (the distro) give you the same reply, is it acceptable to you?

    I work in this line lah. I understand the difficulty tech support have, so every tech support person for things I use actually appreciate my understanding very much. So don't ask me acceptable or not lah bro.

    With all respect, because I'm in this line, this is what I behave, you'll find it plenty weird: I never shout at tech support, never abuse them. Always try to understand them, and help them with their difficulty. Because of personal data protection, I never post my belongings and tech problem and personal phone on tech forums. I always try to give them benefit of doubt, try not to defame their business, be as courteous as possible.Even on planes, when people shout at air stewardess during long delay, I keep calm and try not to request anything like drinks out of already harassed staff already so stressed with anomalous situation. I don't rant on the forums at tech staff and I don't treat the forums like a place to belittle people and give trouble. I try to be polite.

    Generally, try my best not to give tech support which works long hard hours a hard time.

    I don't expect this behaviour of anybody else, it's just my personal preference not to be a difficult customer.

    Well said Michael. Accepted.

    I have been to Convergent office sometime back. This Mymmar guy at the Service counter is fantastic. He has smiles on his face while I was there. Not that kind of service over the phone incidence.

    One more thing Michael.


    Distro/Agent can have more workload. Never ask customer to write-in as giving us more things to do. Are you sure the email will do the job? Customers wants a instant listerning pair of ears.
