Not bad for an aircooled CPU that everyone believes would be only to do 3.8~4GHz due to heat issues.

But that said, you could have gotten a "handpicked" thoroughbred. *pardon the pun*

This hot silicon is waiting for your cascade to cool down Who knows we might see a magical 6Ghz soon from the Japanese overclockers

I always knew that this heat issue was just puffed up story. 9nm process chips produce less heat than their predecessors. Look at R9600, it overclocks like creazy! Ithink 5gig is not unrealistic with TECs on 'em

could it be because of the news about prescot switching to a 32-stage pipeline or sometihng...so it's easier to ramp up the speed

wow cool ... but then how about the price wise ....

I am using a DFI Infinity 875P and i haven't test out its max FSB yet so 300Mhz FSB might be the limit for this board.

As for prescott pricing, you can refer to here : http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=13254

It will be priced the same as Northwoods

    I doubt
but that is seriously a great overclock- like everyone here said, the heat issues at 4ghz must have been exagerrated
hey Vision, how about a few temps?
