seriously, this looks like real UTT, even the p/n starts with WI, and humpy dimples.

haha, these are confirm chop chop WI UTT, no doubt

results tell everything.

1 of the best UTTs i have tried so far, thou didnt whack to the fullest, but at least doing 250 2-2-2-5 @ 3.3V only, the rest required like 3.4-3.5V.

yep only winbond makes such chips, easily recognisable (dimples + 2-on-each-side metal contacts). so all the above are winbond

patriot utt, wow sweet to hear that they are capable to do 250 @ 2-2-2-5 with 3.3v.

1 qn. kinnda of OT. most rams nowadays are with the heatsink on, how do i shop for this kind of utt rams to play with? and what shops can i see them in?

well, follow the lower performance 1 lor, should scale around 260-270 @ 3-4-4-8 for 256mb, or 250-260 for 512mb.

i have a pair of CMX from cybermind that have the promos chip.
at 1st i thought there are utt.
but result show they arent.
they look similar to utt. what i can tell the different is the promo chip side have a step before the two metal strip, but my other utt dont have it.am i right?

What does Lifetime Warranty mean for RAM
When a certain model of the RAM are phased out or discontinued, rma old ram such as SDRAM or EDO DRAM are still possible provided they still have stock . If no stock left, then can kiss goodbye to Lifetime Warranty too.

Value ram which use Winbond chip or Brainpower PCB are a steal!

nice info,

u pay what u get man, for premium rams , u get back the same pair of rams with the same chips and pcbs , for value rams. when u get winbond chip with bp pcb and once they die , omg they are gone till u find another pair.

I wanna see what chips my Patriot uses... Excellent guide man...

Now to go home and take out the chips to take a look at the print... hehehe...

The chips used is not necessary the same for all rams even if its by the same company, am i right to say that?
