A new day, a new Samsung Galaxy S5 rumor emerges, as sources close to Phone Arena tell the online publication the “next big thing” will increase the battery capacity, keep the cell’s actual size in check and add innovative fast charging technology in the mix.

As some of you know already, we’re zeroing in on GS5’s final specs and features, after months and months of seemingly endless speculation, with the latest gossip calling for two versions of the flagship.
One should be metal-made and powered by an octa-core Exynos 6 CPU and the other constructed of plastic and packing quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 juice. The rest of the features are tipped to include a Quad HD (or 2K) 5.2-inch AMOLED screen, 16 MP camera and Android 4.4 KitKat, while the RAM and battery are among the details still kept on the hush-hush.
Or at least they were, as the ticker is now said to boost S4’s capacity from 2,600 mAh to 2,900. Quite the healthy upsurge, and the good news don’t stop there. Thanks to Amprius, a Silicon Valley-based startup firm, Sammy may be able to squeeze the extra juice in a cell roughly as big as GS4’s, meaning they won’t necessarily need to bump up the product weight. Less bulk and more power equals perfection.

Too bad Galaxy S5’s jumbo-sized, high-res display is to take a toll on the overall autonomy, likely bringing it on-par with its predecessor’s. On the bright side, rumor has it the avant-garde fresh battery will also use a special charging technique, helping it go from zero to 100 percent form in less than two hours.
I think we can all agree there’s no downside from that standpoint, so as long as all this gossip pans out, Samsung has nothing to worry and no one to be afraid of in the high-end Android game. Now if only the renders would start making their way to the press to know exactly what to expect in the design department.
