    Replacing the Swans M50-W Fuse

    Hi guys,

some of you might have faced a no power issue on your M50W sub.

This is usually the fuse of the unit blowing due to surge or whatever reason in order to protect the internal amp.

You can bring the unit for us to replace the fuse or you can do it at home if you're technically inclined.

Here are some simple steps to follow:

First get your hands on a T-15 Torx Screw Driver

Some elbow grease to remove the 12 screws holding the back panel.

    What you should see inside

    Locate the Fuse Holder

Counter turn both ends to release. Replace with 1.6A to 3.15A 250V Time Delay FUSE time delayed type. (Model T1.6AL250V). Retrace above steps and put everything back in place.
The sub should function properly again. Otherwise, you'll want to bring it to use for a checkup.

*Doing this won't void your warranty. But don't go modding anything or displacing any components inside. And be careful as the capacitors still hold a significant charge inside.
    * Do not attempt if you are not experienced. Bring the unit to us.

Hey bro, did your sub not have any sound after pressing the power button from red to blue? I am facing this issue.

Do you know where I can buy the fuse?

    Thanks.

It's a difference fuse in this case.

The one above is the fuse on the primary side, if that breaks the entire system will have no power.

On the PCB there are 2 more fuses, one for the sub woofer (bottom of photo), one for the satellites + preamp.

Thanks wwenze, just replied to your PM on hwz lol and I saw your reply here.

My speaker has no sound from the sub & satellites, hopefully it is due to main fuse. Will take a look tmr.
